This fine violin was sold and shipped to a trans-shipment point in Hong Kong. It was purchased by an individual using the name on the stolen credit card numbers. He is part of an international theft ring operating out of Indonesia using stolen credit card numbers. This ring purports itself residing in Hong Kong to give it more legitimacy. The Corsini recently was offered in an advertisement submitted by the Ragam Music Store of Jakarta on the Indonesian website Alibaba, but since withdrawn.
The violin is in mint condition, labeled and dated 1977, a golden honey color and accompanied by a certificate of John Rossi of New York. Photos can be seen on the URL accompanying this entry.
