Description: Violin for sale - Stroh Violin, 2 horn model 4 string
There are no pictures available for this violin
A good original 'Strohviols' violin, 4 string model, twin horn, all in very good original condition, and fully playable. This item is not restored, as it is in such good original condtion,(museum quality) and both horns are present- the larger (fragile) one is in very good state, unbent, with minor blemishes only- photos to follow soon. This is a unique and bizarre item, quite rare especially in this condition, has original makers' transfer on the body, and comes with original case. It will make a fantastic and spectacular addition to any collection of early 20th C instruments. It is bizarre- many early recordings e.g. by Kreisler were made on this type of violin, and Augustus Stroh was co-inventor of the gramophone and many other inventions to his credit: It is a rare piece.
