Description: Violin - Fine Concert Violin by Master Luthier Joel Shewchuk
I am in the middle of purchasing a new violin and I must sell my other instrument. This is an extremely fine violin, made in 2003, and fit for any young professional player.
It is modeled after a Guarneri "Del Gesu" with a fine varnish of reddish-brown color with a one-piece back of mildly flamed maple. It is slightly antiqued and has been played extensively for 4 years. It is a marvelous sounding instrument and has a deep, mature and powerful tone with a magnificent, silvery E string. It has been tested in a large hall (Conexus Arts centre) and it projects quite well.
Mr. Shewchuk's violins are acknowledged by concert violinists everywhere. Elmar Oliviera bought one of Mr. Shewchuk's instruments and played the Brahm's Violin Concerto on it that very same night. Concert Violinist Steven Staryk is also a great supporter of Mr. Shewchuk.
This is a great opportunity to own a concert-worthy instrument for a young artist. I am at a point in my life where I need to invest a little more in an instrument. Do not hesitate to contact me for more details. Pictures available on request.
