Description for Violin: FINE ITALIAN VIOLIN, GUARNERI DEL GESU:
This is truly one of the finest violins one could ever hope to find and come to possess! The owner lives outside of the USA and has consigned this instrument to the present writer for restoration, identification, and to sell it on his behalf. It is absolutely beautiful, sounds as beautiful as it looks, and in excellent condition! The care and attention that the Master Italian Violin Maker bestowed on this instrument clearly shows itself in every detail. Historically accurate information pertaining to the identity of the maker, Joseph Antonio Guarneri del Gesu, was developed through researching the manuscript published in 1906 by the British violin connoisseur/expert, Mr. Horace William Petherick, London, UK: and a treatise by the equally knowledgeable connoisseur, Mr. William A. Haight Leggett, of Pontiac, Michigan. These men were unquestionably the two most knowledgeable connoisseurs of Joseph Antonio Guarneri del Gesu's work the world has ever known. Dendrochronological testing, recently conducted by a firm in the U.K., indicate that the tree used for the (bass side) of the top plate was felled circa 1740-42. A cross~match for the (treble side) has not yet been discovered. Every prospecting connoisseur or professional violinist (with financial means) may rest assured that this violin is in fact BY Joseph Antonio Guarneri del Gesu. High resolution images available upon request. This magnificent violin is truly priceless but the owner is willing to part with for any amount, within reason. Want to find out more? Your heart's desire being completely fulfilled is just a PM away!
