There are no pictures available for this violin
18th century Austrian violin by Johann Radeck, 1778-1803. Believed to be last made of three known surviving examples of Radeck's work. Overall length 22.75". Original varnish somewhat worn at belly. Some chipping of plates. Good playing condition with strong rich tone. Some professional restoration work in 1997 by James O'Halloran, Cork, Ireland. Label states, "Johann Radeck brgerl. Lauten-und Gegenmacher fecit Viennae 17--". The date is altered by hand and in ink, probably by the Maker, to read "1800".
