Tuba Description: Tuba for sale - Meinl Weston 2000 for Sale
I am currently selling my Meinl Weston 2000 CC tuba which I purchased new from Baltimore Brass. The horn is in superb condition! I have used it throughout my undergraduate studies and currently to complete my Masters in Tuba Performance. The horn is located in Rochester, NY at Eastman School of Music.
The price for the tuba is $15,500, including a MTS hard case with wheels. I am specifically looking to sell not trade. This is a great sounding tuba! Anybody who has played this horn has said that this is one of the best 2000s they have played. The horn has a huge sound, is free blowing, intonation is great, and it has a solid high and low register. I have played several of these horns over the years at conferences and this one by far is one of the best! This 2000 will make any serious tuba player quite happy. New ones are going for $19,470 and I am including a hard case, which is several hundred more. I have taken very good care of the horn during the time I have used it.
Additionally, I have invested a lot of money in maintaining the horn and improving it. All of the valves were vented and aligned by Alan Baer. Recently I had amado water keys put on instead of the standard spit valves, which has helped open the low range up even more.
Please email me with any questions, for additional pictures and information at thetubaplayer(at)optonline.net
Thank You,
Michael
