This 4/4 horn is a fantastic deal! She is 9 years old and I am the 3rd owner. Shows some signs of use, but no major dents. The horn is 4 pistons plus 1 rotor. Just recently had the BAER PVAK installed on it.Horn was chem-cleaned about 6 months ago by George Kraft at Southeastern Brass in Huntsville, AL.
Intonation is very typical for that of a CC horn. I play E and Eb in the staff 12 and 23, respectively. 4th valve is also pulled to get the C# in-tune.
A very important point is that the mouthpiece receiver on this horn is HUGE. I played with a pt-44 with some tape around the shank so that it would fit properly. Warburton and Laskey make these large shank mouthpieces that should work fine on the horn.
