Trombone Description: Trombone for sale - Kanstul 1588. A real beauty!
I bought this horn brand new from Ferguson Music in La Crescenta, CA in September '09. This horn was picked out from the line up at the Kanstul factory in Anaheim by Steve Ferguson and I can tell you after playing it since new that it he picked a winner. It has taken me
around the world and back! The lacquer has been removed from only the bell section. This horn can really resonate and has a dark compact sound, but feels light and nimble. There is only 1 ding on the entire horn and its the size of a pin-head. The slide is an 11 out of 10, absolutely glass. I keep my horn very clean to make sure everything works its best! There is some wear on the slide where the left hand rests, but I always make sure to wipe the horn down with a cloth after each time I play. The CR valve is perfect and the tuning slides are always greased and move easily. Comes with 3 different lead pipes, MO, BB, and 8. MO (Minick Open) and BB (Byron Peebles Bach 42) are standard when buying this horn but the 8 was something special they had at Ferguson. It is a direct copy from an Elkhart Conn 8H lead pipe. This is a beautiful hand-made horn!
I have tons of pictures upon request.
Shipping will be at cost.
I would also be interested in trading for a great playing, older Bach 42. Gold bell, LT slide would be nice, custom 42s as well.
