Synthesizers Description: Synthesizers for sale - VIRUS TI POLAR FOR SALE
Barely used 37 note Virus TI Polar. Fully functional and no aesthetic defects. When you manipulate the knobs, buttons, and keys, the smooth solid feel lets you know you are dealing with a superior instrument and machine. The TI series manages to accomplish much more than previous Viruses while holding on to many of the best preset patches from its predecessors. With it's dual-DSP engine it offers many more factory presets (512 RAM, 2,048 ROM). Under normal conditions it offers up to 80 voices and 129 simultaneous effects. Simply put, this Virus rocks.
6 balanced 1/4" outputs
2 balanced 1/4" inputs
S/PDIF in and out
USB port for virtual studio integration
As a stand-alone synth this Virus is top notch. However, connect with your virtual studio using the software package "Virus Control" (essentially a VST and AU compatible synth, not included with synth) and control your virtual synth using the TI. Control of your sounds, filters, and effects with the TI are reflected simultaneously in the virtual instrument. This interaction between hardware and software is achieved by using the TI's DSP instead of the host computers DSP. As a result the seamless interaction essentially turns the TI into a control surface for your virtual instrument. It has flawless sample-accurate timing with midi data; keep in mind however you may experience latency while playing in real time unless the audio is traveling in both directions in the TI. If you don't want to deal with this you can use an analog patch from the TI to your sequencer. Then simply switch over to USB control to apply virtual plug-ins/effects to the track.
Personally though, I really love being able to use my host engine to monitor the TI. Process your creations without ever needing analog patches. EQ it, throw in effects, add your automation, bounce it, whatever. The TI has the ease of a software synth but won't drain host resources because, once again, it has it's own dual-DSP (plenty of power). All that and the signal path is still routed to your host's mixer. You got to love it. The TI made a big leap in hardware/software communication and compatibility. It's the most versatile piece of equipment I use. Praise this seamless communication
The TI put the true tactile sensation into virtual synths by enabling you to use the superior quality and feel of these very high-end analog controls with your virtual instrument. Other hardware/software combos may offer the same thing. I assure you none of them anywhere near the TI's price range have the feel and response that is so satisfying with the TI. From beginner to seasoned professional, if you want to compose music with innovative and reliable equipment in a comfortable way. This is the synth for you.
