15� x 11� brass shell, rope tension, gut snare, wooden hoops with 9 holes, 3 protection feet, hoops can be custom painted different colours or patterns, rope is also available in different colours, natural calf skin heads, comes with carrying bag, carrying belt and a pair of sticks. 
This model of rope tension snare drum was used in the French Army from the American Revolution to the end of the Napoleonic era. It is also available in traditional red/white/blue diamond design painted on the hoops.
Conditions such as humidity will slacken the calfskin heads. It is necessary to tighten the calfskin heads to get a crisper sound. As this is the sacrifice you make to get a historically sounding drum! British Indian Army use to keep them under direct sunlight or near the fireplace before tightening up the head, to get a much crisper sound.
