This is a fantastic example of a pre-war German tenor with rolled tone holes, a big, fat tone and a brand new overhaul. I bought this as a back up to my Conn 10m and it did the job supremely well. The tone is wonderful throughout the range of the horn. It is LOUD. The neck has a working tuner ring. I had the neck strap ring resoldered lower so that the horn could hang without the mouthpiece poking your eye out. And I also replaced the thumb hook with a more modern larger black plastic hook for added comfort and practicality. The horn has brand new pads, cork and felt throughout and is tight as a drum. It is silver with a gold wash in the bell. The finish is fair, not restored or relaquered in quality, just very very good for a 70 year old horn. I've had it for a year and never play it. If you are a big blues, r&b player...this may be just what you've been looking for.
