Recorder (woodwind instrument) Location: Santa Barbara, CA, USA
Description: Recorder (woodwind instrument) for sale - Hopf Renaissance Soprano in D
There are no pictures available for this recorder (woodwind instrument)
Pear wood Renaissance Soprano in D.
Beautiful condition, lovely honey color, clean ight sound, well in tune. Recently totally checked over, cleaned, oiled, cork refurbished, tone holes rounded, etc., so it is in perfect playing condition.
11 3/4” long. 8 holes.
Comes in a like-new hard case with blue velvet lining.
Also comes with a fingering chart. Range 2 octaves plus two notes.
The lowest note is D5, which is notated as D4, so it is one note higher than the normal soprano recorder. I believe it is one octave higher than the “voice flute”, the more common instrument in D. So yes, it is unusual, but may be perfect for some situations.
I believe it was probably made in the ‘70’s.
