Bass viol, Peter Tourin, Jericho, VT. English division bass after Henry Jaye; No. 49, 1983. Beautiful viol with decorated fingerboard and tailpiece, carved rose. 67.3 cm string length, 64.2 cm body. Very nice condition with a few small chips to the finish on the edges. It sold in 1983 for $3225. The viol would sell new now for about $9-10,000. Comes with a nice custom fitted hard case.
