It is in mint condition and has been barely played. This is a beautiful, brand new 17" scale llength flat-top mandola with a bear-claw sitka spruce top and koa back and sides. This instrument has magnificent tone: percussive and bouncy when played near the bridge. When played over the soundhole more woodiness and twang emerges from the soundbox. The semi-gloss oil finished neck and easily managed 34mm neck width at the nut make it a very enjoyable session instrument or live gigging machine. The truss rod is easily adjustable through the soundhole with the included allen key. The body width is 12" and the mandola fits nicely into it's included sturdy custom made strat-style rectangular case. The model is further defined by the beautiful rare and high-end nickel Der Jung tuning heads and signature Nyberg cast-bronze tailpiece, which accepts ball-end strings. This is part of a new line of mandolas. The tonewoods used, joinery and craftmanship are extremely high as always and compliment the distinguished player.
