CUSTOM LOREE OBOE

F. Loree Grenadilla wood oboe serial # DP 82. This beautiful instrument was completely overhauled professionally in May of this year and is in like-new condition. There are no cracks in the upper joint or anywhere else. Good quality seasoned wood. Plays beautifully. Very even scale and great intonation.

In addition, this oboe has been customized. The key corks on most of the metal to metal friction points of the mechanism were removed, a tiny hole was drilled in all these locations, and tiny teflon inserts (the same inserts used at the tip of the adjusting screws) were installed in their place. As a result, the mechanism has a very smooth and fluid feel to it and will stay in adjustment longer since there are no key corks to wear out or fall off. (An oboist�s dream come true!) The cost of this custom work alone runs between $ 200.00 and $ 250.00.

Full conservatory mechanism including left hand F lever, F resonance key, and low Bb bell resonance key. Comes with the original Loree case, a Cavallaro fleece-lined case cover, joint protection caps, Loree cork grease, and a new turkey feather. The cover has one exterior zippered storage space for accessories & reed tools. This beautifully restored oboe is reasonably priced at $ 3,699.00.
