Marimbas - Leedy Marimba

Leedy wide bar Marimba. Model 641. 3 1/2 octaves. Old growth Honduran Rosewood bars. This marimba frame has been Restored. The frame was sand blasted and refinished at an automotive shop in metalic silver. The oak end pieces have been refinished, stained, and clear coated. This is a beautiful sounding instrument, not like the modern marimbas coming from Adams and Yamaha. Big sound! Very warm and vibrant. The old growth bars have a much tighter grain and are much more stable pitch wise. They won't go out of tune or warp like Padouk. It won't last long!
