Stolen 10 sting Octave Mandolin
On the evening of 12/26/2008 about 5pm AZ time someone lifted an Octave
Mandolin from my shop: Gypsy Mandolins in Scotsdale Arizona.
The odd thing is it wasn't quite finished; the
headstock was not drilled out for the tuners, no tailpiece. It is
fretted and has a finish on it. It is figured Black Walnut, Sitka
top; Ebony fingerboard w/brass position markers, 20" scale. The
headstock has a Quilted Maple overlay and longer as it is a
10-string. After speaking with my customer we agreed that a post here
might be a good thing. A police report has been filed, let's hope
they catch this person. The only photos I have are of the body if
anyone would like to see them but there are several examples on my site as well.
