Lute - Robin V Linklater 7 course lute

Handcrafted in England in 1979 (#006). Extensively used so shows wear. At some time the joint between the body and the neck failed under tension - this was professionally repaired and strengthened but it shows, although it has not affected the sound.

I am an ex early music singer and this lute belonged to my lutenist. He needed to sell it to buy a 10 course instrument so I helped him out by buying it. I never DID get round to learning to play it.
