This is a Zuckermann Harpsichord, 1965 or so from a kit , very nice walnut finish ( small chip in one corner). Easily transportable as the legs unscrew and it's now that heavy

it's a nice little fun instrument all ready to play and enjoy

It is currently listed on e bay with 2 days left current bid as I do this posting is $475.00
Someone might get a real deal.
I have only seen a few and in bad shape. I have upgraded it so no work is necessary to play it and you can hear it played, as I have some videos

I bit the bullet and bought the jack conversion kit from Zuckermanns Harpsichord International


I am going to include some additional items, some extra plectra, also the complete wire set to restring it ( i did use some of the wire to replace 4 or 5 strings that snapped ( I did not replace all the strings). It's not that hard to do the repairs yourself , Zuckermann has a set of video links, I can give you, to show how to fix and adjust anything on it.

Tuning it , no big deal, it's easy these days if you have a smart phone, find the free app called " Pano Tuner " and put it on your smart phone, lol, you can't go wrong, it's actually fun you have to love technology. :) and you can just use a crescent wrench to turn the pegs, you don't need to buy some special tuning wrench, lol

ALSO, go to Zuckermann's web site, look at the new and or restored harpsichords, mmmmm, very expensive, in the Thousands. Now i'm sure I did not do as perfect a restore job as they would do, but it is all there and upgraded.

Also, if your close to Richmond VA you are welcome to come and play it

I suggest local pick up and i guess .. I would be willing to travel up to 60 miles or so and meet someone. I would charge $50.00. for doing that.

However, if you want to get a mover or arrange some other way to get it let me know. I would be willing to let it stay at the house for awhile as you arrange for pick up, but you would have to pay for it immediately via Paypal.
You can also get movers to do this, for a real long distance move, it's just like a small piece of furniture, easier to move then a big dresser or wardrobe etc., and not a major deal like a piano or grand piano, it's just not that heavy. easily slid into a mini van, small SUV, etc.


Reminder i have installed a new jack upgrade kit, please listen to the youtube videos to get an idea of how it sounds. The body is in great condition, no cracks in the sound board, the peg block is solid, pins are tight and it holds it's tune very well.
