GILT HARP.
CARVED IN THE WOOD,MAKER'S NAME ;CHALLIOT FACTEUR DES HARPES ,RUE ST.HONORE No 338a ,
PARIS No 166. THE CENTRAL FLUTED WOODEN COLUMN ORNAMENTED WITH CARVED GESSO AND GILT.
SATINWOOD SOUNDBOARD WITH ORIGINAL DECORATIONS.SOUNDBOX AND GRACEFUL SHOULDER ARCH IN
ORIGINAL PAINTED GREEN FINISH. BASE DETAILED WITH GILT CARVED GESSO AND FOUR PAW FEET.
THE HARP MEASURES 67" TALL,SHOULDER TO FRONT OF COLUMN IS 28 1/2".BASE MEASURES 17" ACROSS
THE FRONT FEET AND 12" DEEP ACROSS THE FEET.SOUNDBOARD AT TOP IS 2 3/4" AND WIDENS TO 14" AT THE BASE.
ALL ORIGINAL CONDITION.STRUCTURALLY SOUND,SOME LOSS TO GESSO AND GILT.
ALL PEDALS AND CORRESPONDING MECHANISMS OPERATE SMOOTHLY.WOOD IS FINE,NO FLAKING. NEEDS CLEANING.
