Horst Gruenert's "Bottesini Testore" model basses are known for their uncanny replication of the warm, buttery Italian bass quality of sound, yet a clear and centered tone. I played this instrument for 10 years as Principal Bassist with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra,as well as recitals, chamber music, etc with immense satisfaction. Because of its warm yet clear and penetrating sound it was and is a phenomenal bass for auditions. I won my current position in the Colorado Springs Philharmonic with this instrument 20 years ago. The response of the instrument is truly remarkable and it is in mint condition. It is a worthy instrument for the serious aspiring bassist. Pictures sent upon request.
