Set up (mostly) for jazz, this bass has a string length of 107 cm. Model based on a Vincenzo Panormo bass, what was soon to become the archetypical 'English double bass' back in the 19th century by the likes of Lott, Kennedy or Fendt. It has separate tuners, violin corners and a round back with nicely grained maple (sides and back). The spruce top has some knots, just like some of the oldest fine Italian instruments. This does not affect sound by any means, it is purely aesthetic and gives it an original character. After + 10 years of faithful use, the beautifully arched table hasn�t sunken in. The scroll is quite large and adds to the robustness and dominance in appearance. This bass has gone through numerous concerts, jazz and classical alike. This bass deserves a new home and a player who knows how to handle this demanding instrument that has an open, full, warm tone and tons of playing pleasure. A Gewa carrying bag is included of course.
