This 1987 Gerundino negra, as is typical of Gerundino's instruments, is made of master grade woods. She has a fast response and a big, woody, traditional flamenco sound. The tone is clear and focused with a slightly dark, Andalusian texture, meaning beautiful, rich, full and soulful like one expects from a really good Gerundino. The French polish was re-polished so the condition of this negra is excellent, with no cracks or repairs, in like new condition with an excellent flamenco sound. The neck is very slim and extremely comfortable to play, about 20mm deep at the first fret, the action at the tenth fret is 2mm, the distance between the strings and the soundboard at the bridge is about 8mm. This is an absolutely beautiful Gerundino, made when he was still building every one himself. Gorgeous Brazilian Rosewood. Gerundino his guitars are hard to find these days. Truly a wonderful, rare concert guitar for the serious flamenco player and collector.
