Description: Clarinet - Leblanc Paris Bb Infinite Professional model
Leblanc Paris silver plated wooden professional clarinet. Designed by Leblanc and noted clarinet maker Tom Ridenour to compete with the Buffet R-13. Estimated manufacture date is mid 1990's. Clarinet was part of the new line of Leblancs that originated back in the 90's: The Infinite model was a step below the Concerto and Opus models.
No cracks. No chips. Original keywork plating was nickel plated. I had it upgraded to silver plating by John Butler's Instrument Restoration shop in Sugarland, Texas, a couple of years ago with a complete overhaul. (500 dollars for plating and overhaul) Original barrel has been replaced with a Muncy Winds synthetic 66mm barrel. No mouthpiece or reeds are included. Comes with a used Protec clarinet soft shell case. Pads are in excellent shape. No leaks. Cork pads on upper joint. Bladder pads on lower joint. A definite option and a good value for a serious student looking for a step up from a student instrument. Consider that an intermediate instrument like the Buffet E-11 goes for approx $1000 new,. for $200 more, you can get an instrument that is professional and not intermediate. Also, note that a new silverplated Buffet R-13 is about $3,000. The Leblanc Infinite was played regularly at least once a week in an orchestra setting for three years.
