This bassoon is in overall good condition. SN 3801. All new pads and corks. Springs in very good condition. The silver plating key works and dark mahogany finish have some wear. All joints are air tight. No cracks in wood. No rust in bottom of boot joint (The "U").
Standard German (Heckel) key work system including whisper key, body lock, 4 rollers ( F-Ab, Db-Eb) . Both boot joints has metal inserts. Body made from beautiful grained maple wood with dark mahogany finish.
This bassoon has very good intonation, sound is deep, dark and really beautiful. Easy response from top to bottom. Ready to play. Highly recommended to high school, college students.
Includes:
- Original hard shell case and cover case - Original Bocal, which has a dent in it.
- Reed case - Four new reeds - Seat Strap.
