Bassoon for sale - Heckel 6874

For Sale: Heckel bassoon #6874, manufactured in 1929. Beautiful, complex tone, typical of prewar Heckels. Good scale, and outstanding high and low registers.

Complete overhaul by Marcus and Wieler in 2002. Many rollers added, high d and e keys, sterling silver tone hole inserts, a-bridge linkage, and the addition of a French whisper key. Bassoon has original finish.

Includes Wiseman case, and a very well matched Leitzinger bocal. Bassoon has been played professionally in the New York Philharmonic, Brooklyn Philharmonic, Rotterdam Chamber Orchestra, and the Mexico City Symphony.
