Heckel #5889, circa 1923. Dark, compact, woody sound typical of Heckels of this era. Great slurs, even scale, smooth timbre throughout entire range.High D key and whisper lock. Beautiful finish in excellent shape, with ivory bell ring intact. Key mechanisms are quiet and instrument seals fully.
Played professionally in the Chicago area and Jacksonville Symphony. Owned by former member of New World Symphony.
