This is an amazing instrument I took delivery of around 2006. SN# 4X. Waited a while to get this horn, and it was worth the wait. Amazing tone, stability, and intonation. This bassoon can take a good player far. Very far. There is a reason Benson Bells bassoons are so desirable. High register- full, easy and rich. Tenor- Sweet warm and alive. Low register- easy and AMAZINGLY IN TUNE with no fighting or facial contortions necessary. After playing you'll wonder why you worked so hard with other instruments. This is truly a players horn. Includes many rollers, double wide F#, RH Eb Trill and Ab/Bb trill. This instrument rocks!
I really, truly do not want to sell this bassoon, but I am attempting to make the Olympic team and the sale of this instrument would be used to fund this pursuit.
I plan on earning a living playing again in the future and will then look to purchase another Bell new or used as I love these instruments.

For price reference, last I checked a new one had a base price of $28k and a 24 month wait. With the same options as this one the price new is ~$33k. This one is available now and for thousands less.
