Thanks for looking at this ad. This is your opportunity to own a precision crafted instrument for a very reasonable price. I am interested in selling or trading my Sage Guitars SN4. The bass was handmade in Hartford, CT by Ryan Welcome, owner of Sage Guitars. The bass is awesome! It is a 35" scale and set neck. It is in basically mint condition with minor wear on the frets. This is a one-of-a-kind instrument that would cost over $3000 to build. Here are the specs:
Solid Mahogany Body
Solid, Single-Piece Figured Bubinga Top
3 piece Rock Maple Neck with Figured Cocobolo Fretboard
Cocobolo Pickup covers
Bubinga Knobs
24 Frets (2 octaves)
High Mass Brass Bridge
Hipshot Ultralite Tuners
18 Volt Audere Preamp with Z-Mode Switch
Vol (Neck), Vol (Bridge), Mid Vol with Freq. select switch, Bass & Treb boost/cut
Single Coil Jazz Bass Pickups
The bass is versatile in sound. It can be funky, aggressive, smooth, subtle or out-front with the electronics. It has a tight punchy sound due to the scale and woods. I am selling to get an older Fender bass. So, I will consider trades for older Fender Jazz basses, especially 70s or fretless. I will consider reasonable cash offers. I am selling or trading the bass because I am just a Fender player. I started on Fender and really am seeking to get back there, and I am looking to move this bass quickly and have priced it accordingly, but, any reasonable and fair offers will be considered. Thanks for taking time to check out the ad and Cheers!!
