This April '66 Bassman (matching top and bottom) is beautiful; sounds great; and is in amazing original condition. It is the cleanest example I've seen in many years. All original Tolex and Grill cloths. I got it at the very end of last year and am very happy with it, but my old car interests take preference, so here it is. I've done two things since I received it: 1) Replaced one of the 6L6 tubes with an original GE. I still have the replaced tube which works, but it's no ball of fire. 2) Had one of the two original Jensen 12" speakers (dated 2/66) professionally rebuilt/reconed by Tri-State Speaker Co. It had a slight buzz, but is now perfect. That's all this fine original amp needed to make it 100%. For anybody interested that lives within reasonable travelling distance to my home (Queens) New York, I would prefer that it be picked up in person. I just don't want to take a chance in it getting damaged in shipping in any way. But if it absolutely has to be shipped, I can have it packed and shipped professionally at a UPS Store, in which case the buyer is responsible for the costs. It's far too nice a piece, and would like to see it carefully received by its new owner. As for price, I think it's very reasonable especially considering the condition............I've seen beaten-up examples go for similar prices. I have $1135 (includes the new tube and speaker repair) invested into the amp myself, so somebody may just get a bargain here! If you're looking for one of the nicest ones around, this is it. Any questions? Please contact me. And thanks very much for your interest.
