Description: Acoustic Guitar - Vintage Jose Ramirez 1A - Cedar/Brazilian
This 1972 Jose Ramirez III 1a concert classical guitar is from the heyday of Ramirez when Andres Segovia was playing a Ramirez. The Ramirez master craftsman who built particular instrument was Jos Lpez Cubillo, who stamp number 12 is found inside the guitar. The guitar is a master piece of the luthier's art, impeccably made of the finest woods.
Canadian Cedar for the soundboard and a gorgeous Brazilian rosewood for back and sides. Fretboard is ebony. Spanish Cedar is used for the neck of the guitar and the headstock overlay and bridge are made of Brazilian rosewood. Tuning machines are Fusteros.
Overall the guitar is in excellent condition. No cracks, and aside from some battle scars (some scratches, string burn, and dings) on the top, it has only had one very minor repair. One of the latches of the case took a little chip off the finish on the top (lower bout). This was professionally repaired by a luthier, is stable and doesnt require any attention.
