Musical Instrument Description: Acoustic Guitar for sale - Vintage 1974 Ovation Legend Model 1617-4
This is a vintage Ovation acoustic/electric 6-string. It is a 1974 model (S/N 029139). It has the OP-24 electronics with 3-band EQ, vol and tone shaping presets. This guitar features an ebony fretboard, pearl inlays and rosette and gold hardware. It plays beautifully and sounds awesome. The deep Ovation bowl gives it excellent projection and tone. There is a split in the spruce top which has been there since I bought it in 1991. I had the techs at Guitar Center service it to see if it should be repaired. They said it had no effect on the structural integrity of the guitar and that has proved true over the 19 years I've owned it. It stays solidly in-tune. Included in the sale is the Ovation plush hardshell case, spare strings, a guitar strap (the guitar has the StrapLok system), a Korg DT-3 digital tuner, cable and guitar stand. This is truly a 36yo Legend.
