Acoustic Guitar Description: Acoustic Guitar for sale - Richard Howell guitar
For more pictures and to listen to this my recording of Sakura on youtube type my name 'byron zeliotis' or visit my own website,at 'w w w . zeliotis . com'
I own a virtually new Richard Howell guitar which I ordered directly from the maker in 2008 and which I received in February 2009.
I'm now looking to sell it for professional reasons. Interested buyers email me privately with your offer at
IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
It is his Fleta cedar model and it also has a very unique beautiful herring bone pattern all around the edge of the guitar body. (Check out my guitar gallery pictures)
It is in excellent condition and has very beautiful deep, resonant, big sound. The treble strings really sing and the basses give the sound a strong body. The action, neck and fretboard make playing really easy.
Just to give you an idea of the sound and look of this magnificent guitar see the video (shown above) of my last concert a few months ago (a cheap camcorder mic was used from 10 meters away yet the unamplified sound is loud and clear. That's how powerful the Howell guitar is). Also listen to my recordings of the folk song 'Wayfaring Stranger' to give you an idea how versatile this guitar is. It sounds equally great on both classical and folk music. In the Gallery section you can see detailed photographs of the guitar as well as listen to a recording of me playing the Spanish Dance by Ruiz Pipo.
To give you an idea of the costs:
Together with taxes and freight this guitar cost me in 2009 6,100 (That's $10,160 or 6,790 Euros) .
This is the very minimum that you would have to pay for it new by ordering this guitar directly from the maker, but you would also have to wait for at least between 6 months - 10 months before you received it.
So now this is a unique opportunity for you to own this great concert instrument immediately and at a better price.
Now Special Offer:
5,500Euros!
($7,938.97 USD or 4,858.85 GBP )
Specifications:
Cedar top with beautiful herring bone pattern all around the edge of guitar.
String length = 650mm
Ebony: fingerboard
Standard fingerboard width at nut = 52 mm
Standard fingerboard width at 12 th fret = 62 mm
String spacing at nut = 44 mm
String spacing at bridge = 58 mm
Back & Sides - Rosewood at least 35 years old. It is the maker's preference to use Indian Rosewood (Particularly with Cedar top guitars) as it is available in very high quality. Generally speaking it is more stable than Brazilian so less likely to crack.
The instrument is hand finished (French polished), in the traditional manner using a variety of carefully selected gums (see below) and shellac
