From the workshop of Jose Ramirez this is an magnificent and rare example of an incredibly well preserved flamenco guitar from the late fifties. She has all the refinements of this later, mature phase where the depth and richness of the old aged cypress is brought to its highest expression. She has a perfect balance and the clarity of a piano, yet projects a warm, almost dark, human voice-like quality. Beautiful and rare, this is certainly one of the most collectible guitars we have had at La Sonanta. Although built in 1957, this Ramirez flamenco guitar has a lot of power, she holds up easily against some of the louder guitars being made today, while retaining this enchanting old-world quality of sound. Both highly collectible and desirable for the serious performer. Our artisanos Jos� and Martin are currently restoring this world class flamenco guitar with much enthusiasm.
