This is a definitely unique instrument made to order by Dominique Delarue in 1988. This classical cedar top cutaway guitar with a pickup is a real lutherie feat. All the art of Delarue inspired by a Friederich bracing provides this guitar with an amazing sound quality which places her at the top of the line of concert guitars. She is well balanced and powerful with an amazing tone quality with a low action (absolutely no buzzing note). It's a light guitar, comfortable, surprisingly easy to play and of course with an easy reach all the way through the neck for the left hand.
Despite being a cedar top, it is very clear and bright with an impressive accuracy which brings a lot of clarity and transparence to the playing.
Sustain widens the sound spectrum, basses are percussive and meaty without being too heavy, mediums are very clear and detached, and trebles are delicately and obsessively sweet. On the dynamic front, everything is possible without ostentation: she responds with a disconcerting flexibility. If you dig into it, she will respond with the insolence of a flamenca. No surprise, Dominique Delarue added a discrete golpeador on the lower side of the top.
Cedar, Indian rosewood on the sides, French polish, all in excellent condition.
The electrification is invisible and the side elegantly integrated into the curves of the guitar.
This is not a massive heavy-league instrument but rather a 25 years old princess, in the pure tradition of the French school.

Cette guitare c�dre � pan coup� avec un micro int�gr�e est une v�ritable prouesse de lutherie. Tout l�art de Dominique Delarue ajout� � un barrage � la Friederich conf�re � cette guitare une sonorit� � grande classe � des meilleurs instruments de concert. Pour une c�dre, le timbre est plut�t clair avec une pr�cision impressionnante qui apporte beaucoup de transparence au jeu. Le sustain �largit la palette sonore d�un paysage subtil, les graves sont percussifs et charnus sans �tre lourds, le medium est tr�s d�tach� et chantant et l�aigu est d�une suavit� perl�e � la fois d�licate et obs�dante. C�t� dynamique, tout est permis sans ostentation : elle ob�it au doigt et � l�oreille avec une souplesse d�concertante. Mais s�il vous prend un coup de sang, elle laisse poindre une impertinence de flamenca. D�ailleurs, Dominique Delarue a discr�tement pos� un golpeador sur la partie basse de la table. C�t� bois, un c�dre et un palissandre indien magnifiques et bien s�r un vernis au tampon parfait, le tout en excellent �tat. L��lectrification est invisible et le pan coup� �l�gamment int�gr� aux courbes de la guitare. Donc pas un poids lourd mais une princesse �panouie de bient�t 25 ans, dans le pur raffinement de l��cole fran�aise. �mes sensibles, ne pas s�abstenir.
