Description: Acoustic Guitar - Gioachino Giussani Sp/Br 2001
There are no pictures available for this acoustic guitar
This guitar is very responsive and captures the listeners attention, having great tonal clarity and balance, excellent volume and projection. It has a very clear and articulate sound and is also very expressive at the same time. The neck is very comfortable and allows great maneuverability. The guitar is heavier than most due to having extra-thick back and sides. This forces the top to do all the vibrating, making this guitar project extremely well while retaining all the clarity of the note. The back and sides are Brazilian rosewood, and the sides are also Brazilian rosewood but with an inner layer of Tuscany Cypress, giving the guitar a darker, mysterious tonal character.
This guitar, made 2001, is in very good condition. It has but a couple dings and a small string burn behind the high E. There is a scar from a crack in the fretboard which was repaired about a year ago by Ross Gutmeier.
This instrument is extremely well suited to ensemble work, and Pepe Romero has had great success performing on these guitars. Giussanis guitars have also been used by members of guitar ensembles, including the Brazilian Guitar Quartet and Guitart Quartet.
