Juan Fabian LaBella Manjon, born in Aldeire Granada in 1965, learned the artisan way of guitar making at the INEM and at the workshop of Jesus Bellido. In 1995 Juan Labella opened his own guitar workshop. His construction method is entirely manual, virtually not using any power tools, so that, despite consuming more time in the making, Juan carefully ensures the optimal acoustic performance of even the smallest unique, piece of wood. Just recently, after many studies and numerous tests, Juan Labella improved his varnished with shellac, giving his guitars more consistency and resistance to abrasion, offering an increased protection without altering the quality sound.
