Takamine NV340S Full body Nashville series acoustic guitar. This guitar is a member of the Nashville line of Takamines that are made as close to individual luthier guitars at Takamines original plant in Japan as you can get. The tops are solid, hand-selected "bear claw" spruce which creates a rare, naturally occurring pattern. Each soundboard is individually voiced to maximize its power and dynamic range. The back and sides are solid, bookmatched Mahogany, chosen for both its appearance and acoustic integrity. The ebony fingerboard is fitted with nickel silver frets, leveled and finished by hand for perfect playability and intonation. The soundhole and perimeter of the top are inlaid with hundreds of pieces of beautiful abalone shell. The resonance of this guitar is fenominal and it sustains beautifully. A lovely warm and at the same time bright tone that projects and plays like butter. If you have not tried one of these models please go out and sit down with one and compare it to other well known brands. You will likely find these to be a superior guitar. This particular one has a used stamp on the back of the headstock which indicates it did not pass the stringent quality control tests to be a #1 model. The only issue I can find is small area of clouding in the finish on the back of the guitar which does not show up well in the pictures, it is up near where the neck joins the body. Other than that I can not find any indications and it plays flawlessly. I prefer the full bodied to the cut away models as these have a noticably fuller sound.This is a true acoustic guitar no electronics aboard. I am selling it as I have a 2003 lmited edition I wish to keep and I cannot justify keeping them both as I am just a part time amatuer player. This guitar is a true gem amoung guitars and you will not be dissapointed.Comes with a Carver hardshell case. These guitars list for over $2000
