Made in Toronto, Canada, by Kolya Panhuyzen, who has been building classical guitars for more than 40 years. He started working with his uncle, master luthier Edgar Mönch in Canada and later in Germany. He continues to build a limited quantity of fine instruments in Germany and in Canada.
This guitar had beautiful Brazilian rosewood back and sides with an open spruce top. The tuners are Reischl/Landstorfer with Mother of Pearl buttons and silver baseplates. They look like the Landstorfer classic rococo style that were used in Hauser guitars. They are quite precise and you could adjust them from hard to smooth with the screws. Scale length 650 mm, nut width 52 mm.
The guitar is in perfect condition with no cracks on the top, sides or back. This is a well-maintained, but played, guitar for this age. It is a great fan-aced sounding guitar, with deep basses and a nice, open spruce sound.
