Acoustic Guitar Description: Acoustic Guitar for sale - 1965 Ignacio Fleta Guitar
Hi
I am offering for sale an incredible 1965 Ignacio Fleta guitar. This instrument is rarer than usual being made of Spruce and Brazilian rosewood, unlike the more usual Cedar and Indian rosewood. This particular instrument is in near mint condition, it looks like it stepped out of a time machine. The finish is completely original with no nail marks in the top. There are two very small hairline cracks in the back (hard to see in person, do not show up in photos) that run with the perfectly straight grain and one small crack in the upper bought of the top. The crack in the top has been repaired from the inside with a patch that was done extremely well, possibly by Fleta himself. I refretted the guitar as the original frets were worn out and my restorationist partner is currently engaged in making the cracks disappear which will bring this guitar up to totally mint condition.
Sonically this is the very best spruce top Fleta I have ever encountered. It has tremendous volume and projection. It is incredibly even across the fingerboard with big firm basses and strong and fast trebles. It has a huge tonal palette which is the hallmark of a great spruce guitar. I consider this a guitar for the ages and among the very best guitars I have ever been fortunate enough to encounter. I sincerely hope this guitar goes to a good home where it will be played as it deserves the best.
