This is a historical and rare early Kono Model No. 5 guitar crafted in 1964. At this point Masaru Kohno did not use the �h� in Kohno. This vintage Kono guitar features all Solid Indian Rosewood and Spruce for that crisp, robust tone that professionals have come to expect from Masaru�s instruments.

Despite coming to the age of close to 50 year-old, this guitar is in excellent condition with normal play wear and marks. The super playable, smooth action on the ebony fretboard and 51mm nut makes this early Kohno extremely playable. A testament to the quality of Kohno guitars is how well this one has stood the test of time. This is a wonderful collectible Kono from the first years of Master Masaru Kohno�s.

The sound is very tradition of Kohno�s guitar. It is clear and well balance with rich dynamic range and yet is sweet and lyrical.
