Built in the style of the Italian Harpsichord of the 16th century,
this instrument is extremely light, weighing only 14 kg.

This harpsichord is very compact, small enough and light enough to be transportable
in a small car yet still capable of producing the sound of a full-size instrument.

Strung as a single 8’ in hand drawn brass and scaled to a 16th century virginals pattern
this harpsichord produces a fine clear Italianate sound tuned to either a=415 or a=440.

Ideal for the first time harpsichord player.

Only the highest quality materials are used :
Fine European spruce for the soundboard, wooden jacks, keyplates in maple, sharps fruitwood. Maple (solid wood) for the case sides, finely cut mouldings, solid wood for the bottom for the purpose of high stability.
